How to Buy a Diamond
The first thing to do when looking to purchase a diamond is to learn about the 4 C’s – Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat – which determine a diamond’s quality and hence value. You can read more about the 4 C’s in the ‘The FROU FROU® Guide to Diamond Grading’.
Viewing Diamonds, loose or mounted
At FROU FROU®, you are welcomed to come in for an obligation-free diamond appointment, where one of our Diamond Expert can show you a range of diamonds and illustrate the 4 C’s with real diamonds and answer all your question regarding diamonds. Diamond Shapes
Diamonds come in a wide range of shapes. Brilliant cut (round) and Princess cut (square) are very popular, but there a many other beautiful shapes. Radiant, Emerald, Asscher, Marquise, Oval, Pear, Cushion and Trilliants are just some of the many other shapes available.
Diamond Certificates
Diamonds should always be accompanied by an independent certificate to verify the details of the stones. At FROU FROU®, all diamonds over 0.30ct come with an independent certificate from GIA (Gemmological Institute of America). To further protect our customers by ensuring diamonds and gems meet international exacting standards, Frou Frou maintains a diamond grading and gem identification division run by seeded gemologist. Every single piece of stone will be checked by our in house gem testing division before being set into jewellery.
